A large and very handsome Antique early Victorian Sterling Silver altar chalice, having a round bellied body with hand-chased melon fluting and a gold-gilt interior, and sitting on a spreading melon-fluted pedestal foot. This large and beautiful silver chalice was made by Henry Wilkinson of Sheffield in 1839. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver altar chalice are height 23 cms (9 inches), diameter at lip 10 cms (4 inches), and it weighs approx. 435g (14 troy ounces).
