A large and very handsome Antique early Victorian Sterling Silver altar chalice, having a round bellied body with hand-chased melon fluting and a gold-gilt interior, and sitting on a spreading melon-fluted pedestal foot. This large and beautiful silver chalice was made by Henry Wilkinson of Sheffield in 1839. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver altar chalice are height 23 cms (9 inches), diameter at lip 10 cms (4 inches), and it weighs approx. 435g (14 troy ounces). Please note that this item is engraved with a sun-burst Christogram.
