Payment
We accept PayPal, most major credit & debit cards, cheques, and bank transfers. We do not store or record any credit / debit card details. Goods will not be posted if the order is not paid in full including postage and packaging charges. All prices displayed are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling, and must be paid in full, together with any applicable delivery charges.
Cancellation Policy and Safe Buy Guarantee
We give you the right to cancel your order without giving a reason as required by the Distance Selling Regulations.
The cancellation period begins on the day after the day on which you receive the goods and ends on the expiry of 14
working days. This is described as the cooling off period. You may be charged for the cost of returning the goods
to us if you cannot present them in person. But all other monies are refunded including the initial cost of shipping
the goods to you. Where you exercise your right to cancel, we will refund your money within 30 days of the
cancellation date. This section has been introduced to incorporate the new European Directive on distance selling
which is incorporated into UK law by the CONSUMER CONTRACTS (INFORMATION, CANCELLATION AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES) REGULATIONS 2015.
Further information on this can be found here.
Delivery Prices & Timescale
The cost of in-transit delivery, excluding any import taxes or duties, if applicable, is included within the price of every item that you order from our website. You should expect delivery of your order within 30 days from the date of your invoice unless we have agreed a longer time with you. If we cannot deliver the goods within this time you will be told immediately and we will arrange another delivery date/time. If we cannot agree on another date/time, then we will offer either a full refund or store credit, whichever is easier for you.
International Shipments & Duties/Taxes
Any item that is Antique, being 100 years or older, is currently free of any International import duty, but you may be charged local State taxes. Any item that is not antique, being less than 100 years old, may be liable for both International duty and local State taxes. We can advise you on what International duties may be incurred, but we strongly suggest that you ascertain what your local State import taxes are, as we cannot advise you on these, and will not be held accountable for them.
Returns (please contact us first)
Bryan Douglas always ensures that customers are satisfied with their purchases and service. Any goods that are bought from
the website that are damaged in transit can be returned to Bryan Douglas, unused, with receipt, for a full refund. If for
any other reason you are not entirely satisfied with your goods then please contact us as soon as possible, before
you return them, with the original receipt. Depending on the circumstances we will endeavor to provide you with either
a full refund or a replacement piece of similar quality and price. Our policy is designed to reflect the CONSUMER CONTRACTS
(INFORMATION, CANCELLATION AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES) REGULATIONS 2015, which establishes that consumers are allowed a reasonable
opportunity to establish that the goods are in conformity with the contract. This means that in certain circumstances the
packaging will have been opened, and possibly even discarded. Where it is reasonable for a consumer to have taken such action,
the goods will not be returned in an "unused" condition.

They let you navigate between pages efficiently, store your preferences, and generally help improve your visit. Some websites will also use cookies to enable them to target their advertising or marketing, based for example, on your location and/or browsing habits.
What is in a cookie?

What to do if you do not want cookies to be set?
Some people find the idea of a website storing information on their device a bit intrusive. Particularly when this information is stored and used by a third party without their consent. Although this is generally quite harmless, you may not, for example, want to see intrusive advertising that has been targeted to your interests. If you prefer, it is possible to modify your browser options to block some or all cookies, or even to delete cookies that have already been set.
The Help function within your browser should tell you how to do this. Alternatively, you may wish to visit www.aboutcookies.org, which contains comprehensive information on how to do this on a wide variety of browsers.
What does the Bryan Douglas website use cookies for?
Our website is fairly simple in functionality and currently we only use cookies in two areas. Firstly, for Google Analytics, and, if you wish, you can opt out of this here. Secondly, if you purchase anything through our secure online ordering system, you will be asked if you want your name and address details to be remembered, so that it is easier for you to order from us again.
