A very pretty Antique Victorian Sterling Silver gallery tray, having an elongated octagonal body, a hand-engraved ground with floral and scroll decoration, hand-pierced gallery sides with applied gadroon borders and oval cut-out handles, and sitting on eight cast shell flange feet. This beautiful silver tray was made by Charles Clement Pilling of Sheffield in 1901. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver tray are length 57 cms (22.5 inches), width 41 cms (16 inches), height 8 cms (3 inches), and it weighs approx. 3,720g (120 troy ounces). |
