A very large and heavy Antique Georgian Sterling Silver seven-bar toast-rack, having shaped wire-work bars, a cast shell and loop handle, attached to a rectangular base with a strengthening strut, and sitting on four cast shell feet. Made by Robert and Samuel Hennell of London in 1809. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver toast-rack are length 18.5 cms (7.25 inches), height 18.5 cms (7.25 inches), width 14 cms (5.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 550g (17.7 troy ounces). |
