Antique Victorian sterling silver seven-bar toastrack, having shaped wire-work bars, a crossed loop handle, sitting on a rectangular base with a strengthening strut, and four cast octagonal feet. Made by Edward Gilbert of London in 1883. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver toastrack are length 13.5 cms (5.25 inches), height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), width 8 cms (3.25 inches), and it weighs approx. 182g (6 troy ounces).
