A very handsome Sterling Silver teapot in an early George II Bullet or Skittle Ball style, having a very plain round bellied body, a straight tapering spout, a wooden scroll handle and finial, an invisibly hinged flat lid, and sitting on a pedestal foot. This elegant silver teapot was made by D. and J. Welby of London in 1927. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver skittle ball style teapot are length 22.5 cms (8.75 inches), height 13 cms (5 inches), and it weighs approx. 500g (16 troy ounces). Please note that this item is crested on one side. |
