A very handsome Neoclassical style Antique Georgian Sterling Silver teapot, having an oval straight-sided body, with hand-engraved floral swags surrounding vacant cartouches on both sides, a straight tapering spout, a wooden scroll handle and oval finial, an invisibly hinged domed lid, and all sitting on a flat base with a reeded border. This very elegant antique silver teapot was made by Peter and Anne Bateman of London in 1792. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver teapot are length 25.5 cms (10 inches), height 14 cms (5.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 350g (11.3 troy ounces). |
