A very handsome Neoclassical style Antique Georgian Sterling Silver teapot, having an oval straight-sided body with hand-engraved upper and lower bands of floral work, with engraved cartouches on both sides, a straight tapering spout, a wooden scroll handle and oval finial, an invisibly hinged domed lid with matching engraving, and all sitting on a flat base. Made by Henry Chawner of London in 1794. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver teapot are length 26 cms (10 inches), height 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 350g (11.3 troy ounces).
