A very elegant Neoclassical style Antique Georgian Sterling Silver teapot, having an oval straight-sided body with hand-engraved upper and lower bands of floral work, with an oval engraved cartouche on one side, a straight tapering spout, a wooden scroll handle and oval finial, an invisibly hinged flat lid with matching engraving, and all sitting on a flat base. This beautiful antique silver teapot was made by Charles Aldridge and Henry Green of London in 1782. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver teapot are length 26 cms (10.25 inches), height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 375g (12 troy ounces). |
