An Antique Georgian Sterling Silver teapot on stand, having a hand-engraved oval body, with bands of floral decoration, a hinged domed lid with wooden finial and flat hidden hinge, a wooden scroll handle, and sitting on a matching stand with four flanged feet and reeded border. The teapot made by Frances Purton of London in 1794, and the stand by Timothy Renou of London in 1795. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver teapot on stand are length 26 cms (10.25 inches), height (on stand) 16 cms (6.25 inches), and it weighs approx. 475g (15.2 troy ounces). |
