A very handsome Neoclassical style Antique Georgian Sterling Silver teapot, having an oval straight-sided body with hand-engraved upper and lower bands of floral work, with oval engraved cartouches on both sides, a straight tapering spout, a wooden scroll handle and oval finial, an invisibly hinged domed lid with matching engraving, and all sitting on a flat base. Made by William Turton of London in 1785, with a rare Incuse Duty Mark. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver teapot are length 27 cms (10.5 inches), height 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 350g (11.3 troy ounces).
