A very handsome Sterling Silver teapot, having a rectangular bellied body with two hand-chased girdle bands and an applied upper gadroon border, a brown wooden handle with thumb-piece, a domed lid with wooden finial, a plain square cross-section spout, and all sitting on four ball feet. Made by S. Blankensee and Sons of Chester in 1933. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver teapot are length 27 cms (10.5 inches), width 13 cms (5 inches), height 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 698g (22.5 troy ounces). |
