A very pretty Antique early Victorian Sterling Silver teapot, in the Melon fluted style having a round bellied body, a curved tapering spout, an original silver handle with bone insulator inserts, a domed hinged lid with an original cast pomegranate and leaf finial, and all sitting on four cast foliate and shell feet. This beautiful antique silver Melon fluted teapot was made by Charles Lias of London in 1840. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver teapot are length 27.5 cms (10.75 inches), height 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 763g (24.6 troy ounces).
