A rare Antique Georgian Sterling Silver mote tea strainer spoon, having a hand-pierced oval bowl with scroll and hatched decoration, the reverse with hand-chased floral and scroll picture-back decoration, and with a handle having a pointed end for clearing teapot spouts. Made in London in ca. 1770. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver mote spoon are length 13 cms (5 inches), and width of bowl 2.3 cms (0.8 inches). |
