A very handsome Antique Victorian Sterling Silver three-piece tea set, consisting of a teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug. The bodies in a plain round bellied style with scroll handles, the teapot with a flat topped hinged lid and a silver handle and finial, the sugar bowl and cream jug with gold-gilt interiors, and all sitting on flat bases. This elegant silver tea set was made by Hunt and Roskell of London in 1878. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver tea service are length of teapot 20 cms (8 inches), height 12.5 cms (5 inches), and it weighs a total of approx. 950g (31 troy ounces).
