An Antique Georgian Sterling Silver three-piece tea set, having a teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug. The bodies all hand-chased with Melon style fluted decoration, the sugar and creamer with gold-gilt interiors and cast anthemion leaf handles, the teapot with silver insulated handle and cast rose finial, and all sitting on pedestal feet. Made by Rebecca Emes and John Barnard of London in 1826. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver tea service are length of teapot 29 cms (11.5 inches), height 14 cms (5.5 inches), and it weighs a total of approx. 1,362g (44 troy ounces). |
