Antique Georgian sterling silver three-piece Regency style tea set, having a teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug. The bodies all hand-chased with half-fluted decoration, the sugar and creamer with gold-gilt interiors, the teapot with silver handle and finial, and an invisibly hinged lid, and all sitting on four ball feet. Made by Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard of London in 1811 and 1813. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver tea service are length of teapot 27 cms (10.5 inches), height 16 cms (6.3 inches), and it weighs a total of approx. 1,262g (41 troy ounces). |
