A very handsome and heavy Sterling Silver Art Deco three-piece tea set, consisting of a teapot, sugar bowl, and cream jug, in a plain rectangular panelled style with fluted corners, hand-cut stepped handles and matching finial, the teapot with a hinged lid, and all sitting on four cast scroll feet. Made by Joseph Gloster Ltd., of Birmingham in 1936. The dimensions of this fine hand-made Art Deco silver tea set are height of teapot 15 cms (6 inches), length 29 cms (11.3 inches), and it weighs a total of approx. 1,200g (39 troy ounces). |
