Antique Victorian sterling silver tea caddy box, having an oval straight-sided body, cast oval finial sitting on a lid with flat hidden hinge, applied bead edges top and bottom, with hand-chased and engraved floral work, and two vacant cartouches either side. Made by the Barnard Brothers of London in 1872. Height 13 cms (5 inches), length 14 cms (5.55 inches), width 10 cms (4 inches). Weight approx. 405g (13.1 troy ounces). |
