Antique Queen Anne Britannia standard tea caddy box, having a plain straight-sided octagonal body, a pull-off lid (that doubles as a measure), and sitting on a collet foot. The panel opposite the hallmarks has a full armorial crest. Made by Francis Garthorpe of London in 1713. Height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), width 9 cms (3.5 inches), depth 6 cms (2.25 inches). Weight approx. 205g (6.6 troy ounces). |
