An Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver tea caddy box, having a plain oval bellied body with an upper band of hand-chased reeded decoration, a hinged lid with a cast swirl finial, with two cast lions-head ring side-handles, a gold-gilt interior, and sitting on four cast hoof feet with trefoil shoulders. Made by Nathan and Hayes of Chester in 1906. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver tea caddy box are height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), width 9 cms (3.5 inches), depth 6.5 cms (2.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 167g (5.4 troy ounces). |
