A very handsome Antique Georgian Sterling Silver tea caddy box, having an oval straight-sided body with applied bead borders, a cast floral finial sitting on a lid with flat hidden hinge, with hand-engraved bands top and bottom, together with neoclassical style engraved swags, and original lock with key. Made by Samuel Wood of London in 1779. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique tea caddy box are height 10 cms (4 inches), length 12 cms (4.75 inches), width 9 cms (3.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 385g (12.4 troy ounces).
