A very handsome Antique Victorian sterling silver tea caddy box, having an oval straight-sided body with hand-chased swirl-fluted decoration, applied gadroon borders, and a pull-off lid which was used as a measure, all sitting on a flat base. Made by Henry Atkins of Sheffield in 1895. The dimensions of this fine antique silver tea caddy box are height 9 cms (3.5 inches), length 8 cms (3 inches), width 5.5 cms (2.25 inches), and it weighs approx. 146g (4.7 troy ounces). Please note that this item has a part-crest on the main body. |
