An Antique Georgian Sterling Silver lidded quart tankard, having a plain round straight-sided body with two bands of hand-chased reeded decoration, gold-gilt interior, a hinged flat lid with thumb-piece, a scroll handle, and sitting on a flat base. Made by Edward Fernell of London in 1783. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver tankard are height 16.5 cms (6.5 inches), length 17 cms (6.75 inches), and it weighs approx. 757g (24.4 troy ounces).
