An Antique Queen Anne Sterling Silver half-pint mug / tankard, having a round straight-sided body, with reeded borders, hand-chased fluted and gadroon decoration, a scroll reeded handle, a vacant oval cartouche with scroll-work surround, and sitting on a collet foot. Made by John Cory of London in 1702. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver tankard / mug are height 9 cms (3.5 inches), diameter at top 6.5 cms (2.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 116g (3.7 troy ounces). |
