Antique Georgian sterling silver pair of sugar casters, having round baluster shape hand-chased bodies with floral decoration, with pierced pull-off lids and cast finials, all sitting on matching pedestal feet. Made by Samuel Taylor of London in 1750. The dimensions of these fine hand-made silver sugar casters are height 14 cms (5.5 inches), diameter of body 8 cms (3 inches), and they weigh a total of approx. 460g (14.8 troy ounces). Please note that they are both crested and that the lids are not hallmarked. These may have originally been made as a pair of tea caddies with lids pierced at a later date.
