A very handsome Arts and Crafts style covered sugar bowl, having a round body with hand-hammered decoration and applied reeded borders, a lift-off lid with cast ball finial and applied strap-work sun-star decoration, and all sitting on a collet foot. Made by the Rotherham School of Art of Sheffield in 1950. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver sugar bowl and cover are height 10 cms (4 inches), diameter 14.5 cms (5.75 inches), and it weighs approx. 450g (14.5 troy ounces).
