A very pretty Antique Victorian Sterling Silver sugar basket, having an oval body with tapering sides and hand-engraved bright-cut floral style decoration above two cartouches on either side, with applied reeded borders, a hinged and reeded swing-handle, and sitting on a plain oval pedestal foot. This beautiful antique silver sweet-meat basket was made by Joseph Braham of London in 1881. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver sugar basket are height (inc. handle) 15 cms (6 inches), length 16 cms (6.3 inches), width 10 cms (4 inches), and it weighs approx. 178g (5.7 troy ounces).
