A very pretty Antique Georgian Sterling Silver sugar basket, having an oval bellied body in a Neoclassical style with hand-engraved floral and swag decoration, applied reeded borders, a hinged and reeded swing-handle, and sitting on a pedestal foot. Made by Henry Chawner of London in 1790. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver sugar basket are height (inc. handle) 12.5 cms (5 inches), length 12.5 cms (5 inches), and it weighs approx. 151g (4.9 troy ounces).
