Antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar or sweetmeat basket, having an oval body, with an upper and lower band of hand-pierced decoration, an applied reeded border, a reeded swing-handle, and sitting on a pedestal foot with matching piercing. Made by Walker & Hall of Birmingham in 1910. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver sugar basket are height 14.5 cms (5.75 inches), length 16.5 cms (6.5 inches), width 11 cms (4.25 inches), and it weighs approx. 176g (5.7 troy ounces).
