An Antique Victorian Silver Plated soup tureen, having a hand-chased and engraved body with melon-style lobes and floral decoration, a pull-off cover with cast finial, with two reeded loop side-handles, and all sitting on four cast foliate feet. Made by the Mappin Brothers in ca. 1870. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver-plated soup tureen are height 26 cms (10.25 inches), and width (across handles) 37 cms (14.5 inches).
