An Antique Georgian Sterling silver rare double compartment snuff box, having a plain rectangular body with rounded ends, straight sides, and a flat base, a central hinge with two fitted lids, and a gold-gilt interior. Made by Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson of London 1793. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver snuff box are length 9 cms (3.5 inches), width 3 cms (1.25 inches), depth 2 cms (0.75 inches), and it weighs approx. 71g (2.3 troy ounces). Please note that both lids are crested and monogrammed.
