Antique Victorian sterling silver and gold-gilt snuff box made by George Unite of London in 1872. Originally presented to Joseph Wyatt, who we believe was the head groundsman of Wellbeck house. Hand engraved with floral work, and with three panels on base that have a thistle (for Scotland), a rose (for England), and a shamrock (for Ireland). Length 9 cms. |
