A very handsome Antique James II Sterling Silver Trefid-end table spoon, having a lace-backed rattail pattern bowl, which is slightly worn down on one side (consistent with right-hand usage), together with a trefid terminal having engraved contemporaneous sets of initials on both sides. In original condition with fine patina and colour this elegant James II silver spoon was hallmarked for London in 1688. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver seventeenth century table spoon are length 20cms (8 inches), and it weighs approx. 55g (1.8 troy ounces).
