Antique Georgian sterling silver pair of sauce tureens, having round baluster bodies with hand-chased fluted decoration, lift-off lids with matching fluting and asparagus style loop handles, with reeded and lion-mask side-handles, and sitting on four cast lions-paw feet. Made by Emes and Barnard of London in 1810. The dimensions of these fine pair of hand-made silver sauce tureens are height 15 cms (6 inches), diameter 16 cms (6.25 inches), and they weigh a total of approx. 1,676g (54 troy ounces). |
