Antique Georgian George III sauce tureen, having an oval plain body, gadroon borders, lift off lid with asparagus loop handle and slot for sauce ladle, two side handles, and sitting on a pedestal foot. Made by Robert and Samuel Hennell of London in 1805. Length 21.5 cms (8.5 inches), width 11 cms (4.3 inches), height 18 cms (6.3 inches). Total weight approx. 545g (17.6 troy ounces). |
