A very pretty Antique Sterling Silver pot pourri holder, or ecclesiastical Thurible incense burner, having an unusual boat-shaped body with a hand-pierced floral style cover, with one side hinged with a cast octagonal ball finial, two cast lambs-head side-handles, and all sitting on a spreading hexafoil pedestal foot. Made by Nathan and Hayes of Chester in 1912. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver pot-pourri holder, or ecclesiastical Thurible incense burner, are length 19 cms (7.5 inches), width 6.5 cms (2.5 inches), height 8 cms (3 inches), and it weighs approx. 195g (6.3 troy ounces) |
