A very handsome Antique Georgian Sterling Silver porringer, having a round bellied body with hand-chased fluted and scroll decoration, with an oval vacant cartouche on one side, two scroll side-handles with leaf decoration, a lemon gold gilt interior, and sitting on a flat base. This beautiful antique silver porringer was made by Thomas Pitts I (poss.) of London in 1760. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver porringer are height 10 cms (4 inches), spread across handles 16.5 cms (6.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 225g (7.3 troy ounces).
