Sterling silver very unusual egg holder / box, having a very plain oval egg-shaped body, that has a twist-action bayonet-fitting. Made by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield in 1924. The dimensions of this fine-hand-made silver egg box / holder are length 8 cms (3 inches), diameter 5 cms (2 inches), and it weighs approx. 58g (1.9 troy ounces). |
