Sterling silver tea kettle on a burner stand, having a plain round baluster body with reeded decoration, a lift-off lid with wooden finial, a hinged handle with wooden insert, and sitting on an original burner stand with retaining pins and three cast hoof feet. Made by Robert Comyns of London in 1929. The dimensions of this fine silver kettle are length 21 cms (8.25 inches), height 28 cms (11 inches), width 14.5 cms (5.75 inches), and the total weight is approx. 1,000g (32 troy ounces). |
