A very unusual, large, and handsome pair of Antique Victorian sterling silver and hand-cut crystal jam, honey, or preserve jars, having round straight-sided bodies with plain pull-off lids with disc finials, and sitting in gallery frames with two hooks for holding jam or honey spoons, and attached to round base plates with three cushion feet underneath. Made by Charles Edward Nixon of Sheffield in 1896. The dimensions of these fine hand-made silver and crystal jam, honey, or conserve jars are height 13.5 cms (5.25 inches), diameter at base 15 cms (6 inches) square. Please note that these come with two matching silver serving spoons.
