Antique Georgian sterling silver pair of entree or hash dishes with covers, having round bodies with applied gadroon borders and cast scroll side-handles, with plain domed lift-off covers having cast asparagus handles, an all sitting on flat bases. Made by Charles Wright of London in 1771. The dimensions of this pair of fine hand-made antique silver entree dishes and covers are diameter 24 cms (9.5 inches), height including cover handle 10 cms (4 inches), and they weigh a total of approx. 1,738g (56 troy ounces). Please note that both the bases and covers are crested. |
