A small but handsome Sterling Silver Ciborium, having a round body with hand-hammered or planished decoration and reeded borders, a plain round lift-off lid with a cruciform finial, and all sitting on a round pedestal foot base. This elegant silver ciborium was made by John Wippell and Co. Ltd., of London in 1943. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver ciborium are height 14.5 cms (5.75 inches), diameter of cup 7.5 cms (3 inches), and it weighs a total of approx. 237g (7.6 troy ounces).
