A very handsome Sterling Silver altar chalice and paten, having a round hand-hammered tapering cup with a gold-gilt interior, a middle baluster with an applied gadroon band, and a spreading hexagonal pedestal foot with applied double gadroon borders, and the paten with matching hand-hammered decoration. Made by Hurst, Franklin and Co. Ltd., of London in 1956. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver chalice and paten are height 20 cms (8 inches), width at base 13.5 cms (5.5 inches), diameter of paten 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 326g (10.5 troy ounces).
