A tall and handsome Antique Victorian Sterling Silver altar chalice, having a plain round bellied cup with a gold-gilt interior, a round multiple baluster column, and sitting on a stepped round pedestal foot. Made by John Samuel Hunt (of Hunt and Roskell the Royal Goldsmiths) of London in 1863. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver altar chalice are height 27.5 cms (10.75 inches), diameter of cup 8.5cms (3.3 inches), diameter at base 13.5 cms (5.25 inches), and it weighs approx. 452g (14.6 troy ounces). |
