A very beautiful and large Antique Victorian Sterling Silver ecclesiastical wine or water ewer, having a round bellied body with applied bands and a central girdle with a hand-engraved Glory Be To God On High, together with a hinged domed lid with a a cast double cross finial, a sparrow-beak spout with an engraved fleur-de-lis, a scroll handle with cast fleur-de-lis terminals, and sitting on a spreading hexafoil foot with engraved christograms. Made by John Keith of London in 1862. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver flagon or ewer are height 35 cms (13.75 inches), length 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 815g (26 troy ounces).
