Antique Victorian sterling silver ecclesiastical wine / water flagon, having a plain round straight-sided body, that holds the original hand-cut crystal liner jar, together with a hinged domed lid and cast thumb-piece, a scroll handle, and sitting on a spreading collet foot. Made by Charles & George Fox of London in 1851. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver flagon are height 26 cms (10.25 inches), length 18 cms (7 inches), and it weighs approx. 20 troy ounces (620g). Please note that the front of the main body has an engraved christogram. |
