An Antique Victorian Sterling Silver pair of altar chalices, having plain round tapering cups with gold-gilt interiors and bands of hand-engraved Latin inscriptions, middle balusters with hand-chased work made to look as if mounted with six jewels, and sitting on spreading hexafoil feet with engraved Christograms. Made by Edward Dimes of London in 1893. The dimensions of this fine pair of hand-made antique silver chalices are height 20 cms (8 inches), width at base 13 cms (5 inches), and they weigh a total of approx. 778g (25 troy ounces).
