An Antique Georgian Sterling Silver small travelling communion chalice with reeded borders, having a round cup with tapering sides and a hand-engraved upper band of grape-vine decoration, a middle baluster with an applied reeded band, and sitting on a round pedestal foot. Made by Thomas Wallis II and Jonathan Hayne of London in 1812. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver travelling communion chalice are height 10 cms (4 inches), diameter at lip 5 cms (2 inches), and it weighs approx. 84g (2.7 troy ounces). |
